I’m a retired insurance broker from Santa Barbara, CA. I enrolled in Medicare the year I retired in 2016 and have loved my coverage.
I know there are lots of changes that occur each year, so I decided to write about the things I experience so you can learn from them. This will be an easy read. No jargon or insurance “lingo.” I know how confusing that can be to people outside the industry.
My Brief Bio
I am married, no kids, and have a great husband who loves to entertain me and friends. I worked for many years as an insurance agent for a variety of well-known companies, but never found the job and company that I loved. After 25 years I decided to retire this year and enjoy the 2nd half of my life.
The process of enrolling in Medicare was confusing (I was primarily a life insurance agent), so it took a lot of effort to learn what I needed to know. Now I love my coverage.
Purpose of Blog
In this blog, I’ll try to give you some insights into what I see as good and bad about the health insurance industry and in particular, Medicare.
If there is anything you want to know, or you just want to strike up a conversation, leave me a comment and I’ll get back to you.
